BidCraft Privacy Policy

Overview

BidCraft is a browser extension and supporting API that help freelancers draft Upwork proposals faster. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what you can expect when using the service.

Information We Collect

We collect the account information you provide during signup, such as your email address and authentication tokens managed through Supabase.

We store the profile information you enter in the extension, including your skills, experience summary, preferred tone, remaining free credits, and plan status.

When you generate a draft, BidCraft processes the visible job details from the supported Upwork page you are currently viewing, such as title, description, budget, and listed skills.

How We Use Information

We use your account and profile information to authenticate you, personalize proposal drafts, manage free credits and paid plans, and respond to support requests.

We use the job details you generate from to produce a proposal draft through our AI provider. We do not ask for your Upwork password and we do not auto-submit proposals on your behalf.

Third-Party Services

BidCraft uses Supabase for authentication and database services, Google Gemini for proposal generation, Vercel for hosting the API, GitHub Pages for the marketing site, and Lemon Squeezy for billing and subscription processing.

Data Retention

We retain account and profile information while your account is active or as needed to operate the service, comply with billing obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce terms.

BidCraft is designed to process current job-page content for generation. If logging or debugging is enabled in the future, we will update this policy to reflect that.

Security

We use third-party providers and reasonable technical controls to protect account access and billing state. No system is guaranteed to be perfectly secure, so you should avoid entering confidential client information you do not want processed through third-party AI systems.

Your Choices

You can update your saved profile in the extension at any time. You can stop using the service at any time. For account or privacy requests, contact support@bidcraft.me.
